Feng Shui Tips to get you started

Setting the Stage

Action follows thought so verbalizing and visualizing how you would like an event to turn out sets the stage and becomes the outcome.
For example, if you are dreading the upcoming family get together because your Uncle always talks about inappropriate topics that gets everyone arguing.  Set your desired outcome before you leave for the get together by visualizing and saying "everyone has a great time and there is lots of laughter and great joyful conversations!".
Be sure to wipe out any negative thoughts of past experiences.

Out with the Old

When you bring in all the new Christmas gifts be sure to make room for them by donating or tossing items that are no longer of service to you.  Get a box and keep adding to it and when it is full take it to your local charity.
Also don't buy into guilt gifts which are those gifts given to you by a close relative or friend that you feel compelled to hold onto even if you don't like it.  Donate those guilt gifts or re-gift it to someone that would like it.  Really, it is OK, because if you keep filling up your environment with items you don't like but feel guilty about keeping, those same items will start to work against you.  Guilt hits you in the gut so you may even start to have ailments around your gut area.
So take a look around your home or business (and yes your garage counts too) and see what you are holding onto unnecessarily that's blocking you from having an harmonious environment.  A space that only has items you love with out any negativity...you deserve that kind of space!

Project Runway

Light up the pathway leading to your front door to guide chi/energy to your home.  It it more common to see these lights around Christmas but they are a great opportunity catcher if you are able to light your pathway all year long.  Don't have a pathway, create one with stepping stones, just be sure to:
  • make the path curvy and not straight like a bowling ally
  • make the path smooth and not a tripping hazard
  • make the path go all the way to the street
  • keep the pathway neat and trimmed from grass or plants or bushes, people walking on the pathway should not be touched by plants/bushes

Jingle Those Bells

As you bring out those Christmas bells, utilize the energy they provide:

Bells welcome guests and a welcomed guest increases prosperity.
Bells ring in the holidays and call opportunities for you.
Bells clear the air, ring them when there is negative talk.
Bells protect your environment, put one on your door handle to protect your home.

Christmas Tree Placement

11/29/2019

Since it is a tree and it is typically green, Christmas trees are considered the Wood element (even if they are not a real tree). The best placement is in the check marked areas (Prosperity and Family) in this bagua image.
Because of the triangular shape of the tree it is also the Fire element and therefore not recommended near the front door.
If you have your tree in any of the other areas of your home, decorate it in the color associated with that area.
Be sure not to clutter your Christmas tree and only use ornaments you like.
Wishing you a guilt free and Merry Christmas!
