![]() We've all received them, you know what I'm talking about, those gifts that your Aunt gave you that you know if you don't have on display when she visits that she will make a comment about it. I get it, it was thoughtful of her and you want to make her happy by displaying it but do you love it? And as the years go by, how many more guilt gifts do you have filling up your home? Guilt gifts can come in all forms from decor items, to artwork, to clothing, to furniture. If you don't love it, it shouldn't be in your home because it holds negative feelings. Negative feelings from each guilt gift can make your home a sad home. Release those negative feelings by making your home a guilt-free zone and only have items you love. If your Aunt asks where her guilt gift is then just explain that it just didn't go with your decor and leave it that and she'll stop giving your guilt gifts. |
