On the top of the list of to-do's for the upcoming Year of the Dog is to declutter.
While decluttering should be an ongoing process all year, it is especially important to do at the beginning of this year in order to open up your space for all those great opportunities waiting to find you.
Create space in all areas, even drawers so get started with 2 boxes and a trash can. Use one of the boxes for donations and one box for items to sell.
To minimize the daunting task of actually going through your clutter and making decisions on them, set a timer for only 15 minutes and stop once the timer goes off. Come back to it another day and start the timer again.
Who knows, when you are done you may even have a nice pile of stuff to sell and get some extra cash!
I devoted an entire chapter in my eBook just on decluttering, that's how important it is. Purchase your copy here.
I had to borrow Christopher the Writer's quote above (thanks Chris!) as it represents so many homes and their attics, garages and even those rooms that the door is never opened. You know...all that "stuff" you don't want to deal with but is serving no purpose other than aggravation. As the "stuff" builds so does your aggravation leading to many health issues. Take a good hard look at the "stuff" clogging up your space and if it is not something you will use in a year toss, donate or sell it. Start small and work your way through. The reward at the end will be beyond your dreams!
