Feng Shui Tips to get you started

Equal Night Stands

2/2/2020

Equal night stands are important in order to have an equal relationship with your partner.
I really like these Mae Bean Tables from Urban Outfitters for their rounded corners (no arrow chi pointing at you while you sleep) and no storage (no clutter pitfalls).
Of course pay attention to the size of your night stands in accordance to your other furniture, these are perfect for this low profile bed.
And for those with only one night stand...are you tired of having one night stands?  ;)

Out with the Old

When you bring in all the new Christmas gifts be sure to make room for them by donating or tossing items that are no longer of service to you.  Get a box and keep adding to it and when it is full take it to your local charity.
Also don't buy into guilt gifts which are those gifts given to you by a close relative or friend that you feel compelled to hold onto even if you don't like it.  Donate those guilt gifts or re-gift it to someone that would like it.  Really, it is OK, because if you keep filling up your environment with items you don't like but feel guilty about keeping, those same items will start to work against you.  Guilt hits you in the gut so you may even start to have ailments around your gut area.
So take a look around your home or business (and yes your garage counts too) and see what you are holding onto unnecessarily that's blocking you from having an harmonious environment.  A space that only has items you love with out any negativity...you deserve that kind of space!

Holiday Prep

Here are some tips to help calm the chaos of your holidays:
  • For every holiday decoration you put out, box up an all year round decoration (perhaps in the same box).
  • Depending on the weather in your area, open windows to allow your home to breath.
  • Take a breath yourself and try not to beat yourself up that you haven't done enough...you've done enough and it's OK.
  • Enjoy the gatherings, surely there is something fun or funny about them.

Maintaining Your Reputation

An ill maintained landscape of your home or business conveys that the people inside are ill maintained and for a business it conveys that clients are ill maintained.  A poorly maintained landscape says the below about your business so before your clients even enter your building you are imprinting negativity on them which could be the source of not having repeat customers or high staff turnover, both affecting your reputation negatively.
* Flower beds are crowded with weeds, other plants taking root or overgrown shrubs = money and clients will have trouble finding your business or will just turn away
* Flower beds and sidewalks are not edged = boundaries will be crossed
* Trash not picked up on a daily bases = conveys that you don’t care enough about your business so how can you begin to care about your clients

All of this will cause similar issues with homes, just replace "clients" with "opportunities" and look what you could be missing out on!
Maintain or care for your lawn/landscaping and you will give your reputation an instant boost!

Purge the Useless

Purge the useless - no longer serves you in a good way - memories that you have on auto loop. A de-clutter of your mind, if you will, to allow for the new purposeful memories to rewind and play again. Unload all the heaviness of the negative memories and feel the weight lift off of you. Your body and mind will thank you for it.
