Feng Shui Tips to get you started

Turn Around That Desk

9/26/2020

With many working from home these days it is more important than ever to get you in a strong position.  That means you'll need to quit facing the wall and turn your desk around where you have a solid wall behind you for solid support.  Turning your desk where you can see the door to your office also allows to see things coming and be prepared.  More career tips like this are in my eBook If Your Desk Was a Car.

Balancing Act

Be sure to enhance more than one area of your home or business in order to keep a good balance.

For instance if you only enhance your Career area  then it will be too heavy and the scale will tip to one side which will end up becoming negative.  Add some enhancements to your Fame/Reputation area to balance out your Career enhancements.

Blocking Opportunities

If you can’t see your front door from the street because something is blocking the view then that something is literally blocking you from all the good opportunities waiting to find you.  Plus it blocks good energy from entering your home to help and support you.

Now how can opportunities knock if they can’t find your door?

Typically, it is a tree planted smack dab in front of the front door like this picture but there are other culprits such as shrubs, boulders and decorative walls.  It is best to have a clear and smooth path all the way from your front door to the street.  This goes for homes as well as businesses.

Doors Create Change

Doors are often overlooked and not maintained but this blog could make you look at your doors differently. Doors create change. You open and close them to get from one room to another, changing your environment. Here are some tips to maintaining your doors.

Refresh/maintain your front door to boost your Career.
Clean all your door handles w/1 part vinegar and 2 part water to create change.
Grease any squeaky door hinges to reduce whining or arguments.
Make sure all the hardware is in good working order (hinges, handles, locks, etc.). If your front door has parts that are not working then your Career is not working or you are literally not working.

Maintaining Your Reputation

An ill maintained landscape of your home or business conveys that the people inside are ill maintained and for a business it conveys that clients are ill maintained.  A poorly maintained landscape says the below about your business so before your clients even enter your building you are imprinting negativity on them which could be the source of not having repeat customers or high staff turnover, both affecting your reputation negatively.
* Flower beds are crowded with weeds, other plants taking root or overgrown shrubs = money and clients will have trouble finding your business or will just turn away
* Flower beds and sidewalks are not edged = boundaries will be crossed
* Trash not picked up on a daily bases = conveys that you don’t care enough about your business so how can you begin to care about your clients

All of this will cause similar issues with homes, just replace "clients" with "opportunities" and look what you could be missing out on!
Maintain or care for your lawn/landscaping and you will give your reputation an instant boost!
